I tend not to get into the mainstream news and write about music videos and trending news - you can easily find that by a simple browse through the internet - however, this one is different. It is in Arabic, and from 2018, but I really like it. The music video gives such good vibes, and well need something positive every now and then.
lately, like most of the humans who live on planet earth, I've been dealing with numerous setbacks and various disappointments, adding to the pile whatever is going on in the world right now. Getting motivated and ready to take on life can be a hard task and not, always, we tend to succeed in it. But, every now and then I stumble upon a sign that reminds me that hope still remains and life must go on regardless of how hard it is. This music video was my cue this time around!
The music video for a famous Egyptian singer called "Tamer Hosny". The gist of the video is to be happy about what you've got (even if it is too little to nothing at all), enjoying the little things in life, and appreciating simple things like - having a roof to live under, having money that will only last you for a day, wearing unbranded shoes and pretending they are couture, etc.. - the concept is awesome and, to be honest, it is needed nowadays more than any other time.
“Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough” ― Oprah Winfrey
Contentment can be easier said than done; it takes practice, faith and building a life system that makes you fulfilled and happy (regardless of what you've got in hand). It might be working against the concept of the American Dream - which allows the highest aspirations and goals to be achieved - rather, being contented is achieving the biggest aspirations in life with the so little you've got (which is being happy).
It is all an internal process, happiness comes from within (and that's what you know from all these life coaches and motivational posts and websites) but, truly, if you are not happy with yourself then you'll never be happy with your life. Reflect on what you feel on your outside surroundings, and let be as positive as it can be. I will not lie to you, sometimes I feel like I want more from life and what I have is not enough! (well, there is nothing wrong with ambitions) however, I get back and appreciate the things I have got which I take for granted and which can be a distant wish for others. Like having a loving family, supportive friends, a constant flow of cash and money, among many other blessings in my life.
